Key information for decision makers regarding
new patch to address indexing problems on Xerox
DocuShare 6.5.0 & 6.5.2
Xerox has recently released Patch 9 for DocuShare 6.5.0 and
6.5.2 to replace the recalled Patch 6 to address
indexing problems some administrators had reported. The DocuShare User
Group (DoUG) site collection for Downloads has this.

It's also anticipated that DocuShare 6.5.3 will be
available very soon, so keep your eye on the
DoUG
site. This new release
will have additional scalability options that may be
beneficial to sites with more than 5 million
documents, especially those in which much or most of
the content is indexed for full-text search.
It will also support new versions of OS and database
platforms. We'll relay information when this is available as it
appears that many of you do not receive such
announcements directly from Xerox.
DocuShare 6.X Email Agent Permissions Issue &
Usage
A problem has been
observed when using the Email Agent feature in which
the email copied to your target collections allow
guests to find and view their contents in spite of
the permissions settings of the collection they're
copied to. DocuShare Support has created a
utility to fix that for you. A ReadMe file is
included. Be sure to backup your database
first, just in case.

9.0 Release 2
This release fixes a few errors found in the initial
release of FlexiCapture 9.0 and adds new
features including browser-based Verification Stations for the
Distributed edition. If you haven't yet
upgraded, you can look forward to:
- Multilevel classifier optimizes document
assembly and identification.
- Multiple Destination Export for various data
and document formats.
- Web-service API for integration into existing
business processes and workflow via SOAP.

Getting past the
30MB file size limit for uploads
Russell's written a short article on getting past the
30MB file size upload limit on IIS7. This could
also apply to IIS6. You'll find this on our
