Criteria First's focus is on providing document management
solutions, often with data capture front-ends to extract
information from documents that is saved as metadata to
facilitate categorization and improved search and retrieval.
This captured data can also be used to automate the filing
process by use of template-based software to upload documents
with metadata and archival dates set while creating any new
required collections in the process. The same data can be fed
into database tables to support systems relating to ERP and CRM
support. Additional tools have been developed for manually
tagging documents and auto-filing them. Other areas of expertise
include batch OCR and conversion of documents and integration
with new and existing systems as well as print solutions where
hardcopy is generated along with email, fax, or PDF archival.
Recognition Server Update supports Bates stamping and more
ABBYY's latest release of Recognition Server allows you to add
additional information to pages which are converted to Word and
PDF documents within headers and footers. For example, you can
add your company's name, the date and time, a page #, a Bates
stamp, terms such as "confidential" or "private", a serial
number, or an advertisement. You can also choose the font style,
size, stress, and color. Recognition Server is a great choice
for installing OCR conversion software that's accessible to all
or specified users within an organization for easy conversions
to PDF, Word, Excel, and database formats. You can also
integrate with your website to upload image files to be
converted to documents, send images as email attachments to be
returned to you as documents, and for integration with other
systems as part of an overall process. You can convert all
incoming electronic faxes into searchable PDFs and deposit them
into DocuShare to kick off a workflow process. Administration is
easy and can be done using a Remote Administration Console
without the need for remote desktop access to the server.
ABBYY FlexiCapture 8.0 Professional's FormDesigner form
merging feature
Here's a new feature in the included FormDesigner module that
you may not be aware of, but could be used in your personalized
mailings. See the attached image showing what you find within
the FormDesigner help file when searching for "database". You
can pre-fill some of your forms with information from a database
or CSV file, such as customer number and name. Merging is one of
the print options for your form.
